Putin to Arrive in China for High-Level Strategic Talks

DID Press: The Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in China for a two-day official visit, with intensive meetings scheduled in Beijing on 29–30 May.

According to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, the program will be “highly intensive and wide-ranging,” including both restricted and expanded-format talks with Chinese leadership.

During the visit, Putin is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping for bilateral discussions, as well as attend joint events marking the launch of the “Russia–China Years of Education” initiative.

He is also scheduled to meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang, with economic and trade cooperation expected to dominate the agenda.

The Kremlin emphasized that the Russia–China strategic partnership, shaped over the past 25 years following their Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, has become a model for interstate relations and continues to deepen through regular high-level exchanges.
