Herat Road Addressing Project Nears Completion After Reaching Final Phase

DID Press: Press office of Herat province has announced that the project to install road addressing and signage boards across the city’s fifteen districts has entered its final stages, with approximately 90 percent of the work already completed.

According to technical officials from the municipal administration of Herat, the project—valued at more than 3 million Afghanis—is currently being implemented with signage of various sizes installed at key locations throughout the city, including the entrances of main and secondary roads, the beginnings of urban boulevards, and on traffic-light poles at major intersections.

The primary objective of the initiative is to organize the city’s addressing system and facilitate easier navigation for residents and travelers seeking access to different routes across the urban area.
