DID Press: Xi Jinping, President of China, stressed the need to safeguard the authority of international law during a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, warning that the global community must not allow the international order to be weakened by force or short-term interests.

Xi stated that the selective use of international law—“applying it when it suits us and discarding it when it does not”—is unacceptable and risks pushing the world toward a “law of the jungle” scenario dominated by power rather than rules.
He called on all nations to uphold shared principles and strengthen cooperation to preserve global stability.
