Hezbollah Official: Iran’s “Post-War Strength” Has Boosted Group’s Power

DID Press: A senior Hezbollah official has stated that Iran’s increased regional influence following the recent war has strengthened the Lebanese group’s position.

Nawaf al-Moussawi, a senior member of Hezbollah, said that Iran’s emergence with greater influence after what he described as a war against the country has enabled Hezbollah to operate more effectively compared to 2024.

He said that regional developments and existing support mechanisms have enhanced both the political and operational capabilities of the group.

Al-Moussawi also referred to Lebanon–Israel relations, warning that if the Lebanese president agrees to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he would lose his position as head of state.

He further questioned claims that a majority of Lebanese citizens support signing a peace agreement with Israel, casting doubt on the legitimacy of such assertions.
