Iran Warns After Alleged US Naval Attack on Iranian Vessel in Gulf of Oman

DID Press: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has accused the United States of violating a ceasefire and committing what it described as “maritime piracy” following an alleged attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Gulf of Oman.

Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for the headquarters, stated that U.S. forces opened fire on the Iranian vessel in the waters of the Gulf of Oman and subsequently deployed personnel onto the ship’s deck.

He described the action as a clear violation of international law and characterized it as an “armed act of piracy.”

The spokesperson further warned that Iran’s armed forces would not leave the incident unanswered and would deliver a “decisive response” in the near future.

So far, officials from the United States have not issued an official response, and additional details regarding the condition of the vessel or its crew remain unavailable.
