Australia Faces Fuel Supply Strain as Reserves Near Critical Levels

DID Press: Energy experts in Australia have warned of a potential fuel supply crisis, with possible rationing measures expected as early as June.

According to energy sector assessments, the country’s fuel reserves are under increasing pressure due to global tensions and disruptions in key import routes.

Official figures indicate that current stocks are sufficient for only about 39 days of petrol consumption and 29 days of diesel use.

Fuel import contracts are also set to expire at the end of May, with no confirmed extensions in place so far.

Authorities have warned that if the situation continues, restrictions on fuel consumption and possible rationing measures may be introduced in early June.
