Afghanistan Enters INNOPROM After Tashkent Trilateral Deal
DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that a trilateral meeting was held on the sidelines of the INNOPROM Central Asia Industrial Exhibition involving officials from Nooruddin Azizi, the Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan.

The discussions focused on facilitating transit, expanding trade relations, and increasing Afghan exports to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The issue of Afghanistan’s participation in the international exhibition was also addressed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a joint working group to streamline transit and trade processes. They also reached an agreement on Afghanistan’s formal membership in the INNOPROM Central Asia exhibition framework.
Under this arrangement, Afghan industrial companies will be able to showcase their products at the international exhibition with full membership benefits, marking a potential expansion of Afghanistan’s industrial and export presence in the region.
