DID Press: Iran’s Aerospace Force commander, Brigadier General Seyed Majid Mousavi, has announced that the country’s “oil target bank” has been updated, as regional tensions continue to escalate.

According to domestic reports, the update comes amid claims that some regional states have facilitated access for parties involved in recent conflicts.
The reported list references major energy installations across the Gulf region, including key facilities in the United Arab Emirates such as the Upper Zakum oil field, the Ruwais refinery—one of the world’s largest—and the Habshan gas processing complex, a major hub in the Middle East energy network.
In Saudi Arabia, the Ghawar oil field, the world’s largest onshore oil field, and the Abqaiq processing facility were also highlighted as critical infrastructure sites.
In Kuwait, the Burgan oil field—one of the largest globally—alongside the Mina Abdullah and Mina Al-Ahmadi refineries, were cited for their central role in national exports.
In Qatar, the Ras Laffan industrial complex, a multi-billion-dollar energy hub, was included, while in Bahrain the Abu Safah field and Sitra refinery were noted, with references to their strategic proximity to regional military installations.
The statement comes as security and economic developments in the Gulf region remain under close international scrutiny, with concerns growing over the potential spillover effects of escalating tensions.
