DID Press: A report by CNN written by Ivanka Kottasová outlines seven key failures of the United States in its war alongside Israel against Iran, saying the conflict has produced no strategic gains and instead created significant political, economic, and military setbacks.

According to the analysis, early promises of a “quick victory” made by U.S. President Donald Trump did not materialize, and after two months the conflict reportedly ended without a clear strategic outcome for Washington.
The report highlights rising economic pressure inside the United States, including increased fuel, transport, and service costs. Inflation reportedly rose to 3.3% in March, up from 2.4% in February.
On the diplomatic front, analysts cited in the report argue that Washington’s global standing has weakened, while domestic approval ratings for the president have dropped to around 37%.
CNN also notes that the war has damaged U.S. global credibility, while China has attempted to position itself as a more stable and peace-oriented global actor.
Energy vulnerability is another key issue, with the report stressing continued U.S. dependence on oil and insufficient investment in renewable energy sources.
Finally, the report argues that shifting military focus toward the Middle East has reduced U.S. deterrence capacity in Asia, potentially weakening its strategic position against China.
