DID Press: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that US has “no option” other than accepting Iran’s proposed 14-point peace initiative, amid rising tensions over the fragile Middle East ceasefire.

The remarks came after Donald Trump described the regional ceasefire as being “on life support,” warning that the situation remains highly unstable.
In a message posted on X, Ghalibaf said Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any hostile action, adding that “wrong strategies and poor decisions always lead to bad outcomes.”
Hours later, the Iranian parliament speaker reiterated that Washington ultimately has no alternative but to accept Tehran’s peace framework, arguing that any other path would prove ineffective and impose greater costs on American taxpayers.
The statements come as concerns grow over the possibility of renewed military escalation following reported disagreements between Tehran and Washington over ceasefire conditions and broader regional security arrangements.
Analysts warn that any collapse in negotiations could further destabilize global energy markets, which are already under pressure from ongoing conflict and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.
