DID Press: Donald Trump says he has suspended a planned new military strike against Iran following requests from Arab leaders and to allow ongoing negotiations with Tehran more time to advance.

Trump stated that discussions with Iran were moving toward a possible agreement aimed at preventing Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
According to the U.S. president, he decided to delay the operation for “two to three days” after contacts with leaders from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. He said the temporary suspension was intended to avoid disrupting diplomatic efforts.
Neither Iran nor regional governments have officially responded to Trump’s remarks. However, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said the country’s armed forces are “more prepared and capable than ever.”
Political analysts have described Trump’s latest position as another retreat in Washington’s confrontation with Tehran, arguing that the suspension of military action without tangible gains reflects difficulties in exerting pressure on Iran through force.
They also point to Trump’s repeated emphasis on giving diplomacy more time as evidence that negotiations are increasingly shaping the direction of the crisis.
