Doshi–Bamyan Road Project Reaches 60% Completion
DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Public Works says construction of the Doshi–Bamyan highway, designed as an alternative route to the Salang Pass corridor, has reached approximately 60 percent completion.

According to the ministry, the project covers a total distance of 152 km, extending from the Doab Balola area in Bamyan Province to Doshi District.
Officials said that 90 km of the road has been completed so far, with work continuing on the remaining sections.
The Doshi–Bamyan route is intended to serve as an alternative to the strategic Salang Pass highway, one of the country’s most important transportation corridors.
Authorities say the project is expected to facilitate the movement of passengers and freight, improve regional connectivity, and reduce traffic pressure on the Salang route once it becomes operational.
