Blast Reported Near Home of Taliban Deputy Governor in Kabul

DID Press: A blast was reported on Friday in Kabul’s 11th police district near the residence of Qudratullah Amini, according to local sources. Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

Sources said the blast occurred around midday near the boys’ school Sayed al-Naseri and close to Amini’s residence.

Video footage circulating on social media appeared to show Taliban personnel transporting an injured individual in a security vehicle. No official information has been released regarding the nature of the blast, the intended target, or the number of casualties.

Amini, a native of Panjshir province, is considered a close associate of the Taliban leadership and previously served as the group’s governor in Panjshir.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident, and Taliban officials have yet to issue a statement.
