UN, Taliban Discuss Humanitarian Cooperation and Aid Delivery
DID Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi held a phone conversation with Rosemary DiCarlo to discuss humanitarian assistance and ongoing cooperation between Afghanistan and the United Nations, according to a statement from the Taliban foreign ministry.

The ministry said DiCarlo expressed appreciation for the facilitation and cooperation provided by the Taliban authorities for humanitarian operations, describing it as important for the timely and effective delivery of aid to those in need.
During the call, the UN official also briefed Muttaqi on recent developments related to the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and outlined ongoing UN efforts in the country.
Both sides emphasized the continuation of mutual understanding, constructive engagement, and expanded cooperation between Afghanistan and the United Nations.
The discussion comes shortly after the UN Security Council extended UNAMA’s mandate for another year and reiterated the importance of human rights compliance in Afghanistan.
