Pakistan Accuses Taliban of Aiding India in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Attacks

DID Press: Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has once again accused the Afghan Taliban of cooperating with India in fueling insecurity inside Pakistan, following two deadly roadside bomb attacks in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking after the attacks, Asif said the time had come to launch a “decisive war against terrorism” and eliminate the threat permanently. His remarks came after two roadside explosions in the Bannu district killed at least seven people and injured three others.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, Pakistani authorities have frequently blamed militant groups operating near the Afghan border for similar incidents.

The defence minister alleged that Pakistan would take necessary measures against what he described as “Indian proxy groups operating from Afghanistan.” He added that Pakistan’s armed forces remain on high alert and are prepared to respond swiftly to any potential security threat.

Asif has repeatedly accused the Afghan Taliban of contributing to instability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The Taliban administration has consistently rejected such allegations.

The latest exchange comes amid growing tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, as security concerns and cross-border accusations continue to strain relations between the two neighboring countries.
