EU Makes Women’s Empowerment Central to Afghanistan Aid Strategy

DID Press: European Union’s delegation in Afghanistan has announced that the empowerment of women and girls remains a central priority in its humanitarian assistance programs for the Afghan population.

According to the statement, the EU is working in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), ACTED, and the ACF humanitarian organization in Badakhshan province to enhance skills, strengthen capacities, and create economic opportunities for women and girls.

The initiative is aimed at supporting sustainable livelihoods and reinforcing the role of women in local communities through targeted development and humanitarian projects.
