DID Press: Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that ending the war in Lebanon is as important for Iran as ending any conflict on its own territory, emphasizing Tehran’s view of interconnected regional security.

Speaking at the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) conference in Baku, Ghalibaf said Iran considers the security of Muslim countries to be interlinked, arguing that instability in any part of the Islamic world has wider regional consequences.
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to expand relations with Islamic countries based on mutual respect, good neighborliness, and non-interference in domestic affairs.
Ghalibaf also called for greater unity among Muslim countries to address regional crises and urged stronger coordination through international Islamic institutions to support peace and stability.
His remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza, which continue to dominate diplomatic discussions across the Middle East.
