Pakistan Army: 4 Drones Launched from Afghanistan Were Shot Down
DID Press: Pakistan’s military says it has intercepted and destroyed four drones allegedly launched from Afghan territory toward the southwestern province of Balochistan, amid rising tensions between Islamabad and the Taliban administration.

In a statement, the media wing of the Pakistani armed forces, Inter-Services Public Relations, said the drones were detected and brought down by Pakistan’s air defense systems shortly after entering the area.
The military claimed the drones had been launched by the Taliban administration in support of militant groups operating in regions under its control. According to the statement, Pakistani security forces used advanced counter-drone capabilities to neutralize all four aerial vehicles before they could reach their intended targets.
ISPR said the incident was successfully thwarted due to the readiness of Pakistan’s security forces and stressed that none of the drones achieved their objectives.
The Pakistani military further alleged that the Taliban administration was attempting to divert public attention from domestic challenges facing Afghanistan. It argued that such actions would only worsen the difficulties confronting the Afghan population.
The statement concluded by warning that what it described as “irresponsible actions” would have negative consequences for the people of Afghanistan.
The claims come shortly after the Taliban announced that it had conducted drone strikes against alleged ISIS positions across the border in Pakistan. Neither side’s assertions have been independently verified.
