DID Press: Algerian writer and political thinker Yahya Abou Zakaria says the name of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will remain etched in the modern history of the Muslim world for decades, describing him as one of the most influential Islamic leaders of the contemporary era.

Abou Zakaria said Iranians and “free and honorable Muslims” are bidding farewell to what he described as one of the most exceptional Islamic leaders of modern times, referring to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the “martyred leader.”
He said Khamenei devoted his life to Islam and portrayed him as the founder of Iran’s movement and an architect of the path of resistance and Muslim dignity.
According to the Algerian thinker, although Khamenei left behind no material wealth, he bequeathed to Muslims a legacy of dignity, progress, and resistance against what he described as global oppression.
Abou Zakaria also said Khamenei’s life concluded in a manner similar to that of prophets and their successors, describing his death as martyrdom during the month of Ramadan and his burial during Muharram.
