DID Press: Al Jazeera has reported that Tehran and other Iranian cities are witnessing large crowds and the participation of more than 100 diplomatic delegations in funeral ceremonies for what it describes as the late Iranian leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The broadcaster characterized the event as unprecedented in scale and organization.According to Al Jazeera, diplomatic delegations from more than 100 countries have arrived in Tehran to attend the ceremonies, describing the turnout as reflecting Iran’s political and regional influence during a sensitive period.
The broadcaster reported that major streets in Tehran and the Imam Khomeini Mosalla were filled with crowds from the early hours of the day, with large numbers of people gathering across the country to participate in the ceremonies.
It added that Iranian officials expected attendance to exceed 10 million in the coming days, although no independent verification of those figures was available.
Al Jazeera said Tehran had become the center of a series of multi-day events attended by delegations from more than 100 countries, describing the international participation as a demonstration of Iran’s diplomatic reach and regional standing.
The report also highlighted the scale of logistical preparations, including the use of thousands of schools to accommodate visitors, extensive traffic management measures and expanded municipal services.
According to Al Jazeera, the arrangements reflected Iran’s capacity to organize a large national event.
