Netherlands Contributes €16 Million to Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund
DID Press: The Netherlands has contributed €16 million ($18.3 million) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said.

OCHA thanked the Netherlands for the contribution, saying the funding will help strengthen the delivery of humanitarian assistance and support vulnerable people across Afghanistan.
The contribution comes as Afghanistan continues to face one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. OCHA says humanitarian needs remain extensive in 2026, while aid operations face significant funding constraints.
The Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund is a pooled UN funding mechanism that allows humanitarian partners to direct resources toward urgent needs and vulnerable communities.
OCHA’s funding records also show continued Dutch support for the fund in 2026, underscoring the Netherlands’ role as a major humanitarian donor to Afghanistan.
