DID Press: Grand Ayatollah Ja’far Sobhani led the funeral prayer on Sunday for Martyred leader of Islamic Revolution and members of his family during a ceremony attended by massive crowds, senior state officials, and the leader’s relatives.
The prayer was held in the early hours of the morning as millions of mourners gathered at the funeral venue. Grand Ayatollah Sobhani presided over the ceremony, with long rows of worshippers stretching across the surrounding area.
The event drew participants from across Iran, reflecting the late leader’s prominent position among many supporters. The large gathering also underscored themes of national unity and solidarity during a period of mourning.
Senior civilian and military officials were also present alongside members of the late leader’s family during the ceremony.
