DID Press: Russian news agency Sputnik has reported that millions of Iranian citizens arrived in Tehran from early morning to attend the funeral ceremony of the Martyr leader of the Islamic Revolution, describing the capital as being filled with an unprecedented crowd.

According to the report, major Russian outlets including RIA Novosti, TASS, and RT also covered the event, portraying Tehran as “overwhelmed by an extraordinary mass gathering” and emphasizing that nationwide participation turned the capital into the center of a historic moment.
Sputnik noted that roads leading to the ceremony venue were packed with crowds since early hours, with published images showing central Tehran filled with mourners gathered to pay tribute.
Russian media described the turnout as a sign of “remarkable social cohesion” and the strong influence of the late leader on Iranian public opinion.
The reports further stated that coverage of the ceremony in Russia continues to focus on its political, social, and regional implications, with analysts calling it one of the largest public gatherings in Iran in recent years.
