100 Killed in US Independence Day Shootings

DID Press: At least 100 people have been killed and 340 others injured in shootings during the three-day Independence Day celebrations across the United States, according to the non-profit Gun Violence Archive.

The organization said in a post on X that this year’s Fourth of July holiday period recorded nearly a record number of mass shootings. It reported 20 mass shooting incidents during the three-day period, the highest figure since 2021.

Gun Violence Archive added that the figures are preliminary and could change as investigations continue.
