DID Press: The United States has reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia following escalating tensions between Riyadh and Ansarullah in Yemen, while Iraq’s Harakat al-Nujaba announced it stands alongside Ansarullah, underscoring deepening regional divisions over the conflict.

According to the US Department of State, Washington remains committed to supporting Saudi Arabia against attacks by Ansarullah and said the strategic partnership between the two countries continues to strengthen.
The department also reiterated that the United States continues to designate Ansarullah as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and said it will maintain efforts to safeguard freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and counter armed groups operating in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s Harakat al-Nujaba declared its support for Ansarullah, praising the group’s stance toward Saudi Arabia.
A senior military official from Harakat al-Nujaba said the movement considers itself an ally of Ansarullah and supports its position against Saudi Arabia. He added that confronting common adversaries requires stronger deterrence and closer coordination among allied groups.
Separately, Usman Jadoon, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, told an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on developments in Yemen that Islamabad supports Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He condemned missile attacks by Ansarullah and called on all parties to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue.
The latest statements come as developments in Yemen and the Red Sea remain at the center of regional security tensions.
