Iran Warns of Regional Retaliation if US Targets Its Infrastructure

DID Press: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned that any US attack on Iranian infrastructure would trigger a sweeping military response against infrastructure across the region, as tensions between Tehran and Washington continue to escalate.

Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, issued the warning in response to remarks attributed to US President Donald Trump regarding potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure.

Zolfaqari said that if the US military attacks Iran’s critical infrastructure, “all infrastructure across the region will be subjected to heavy and devastating Iranian strikes.”

In a televised statement, he also reaffirmed Tehran’s position on the Strait of Hormuz, saying Iran would “under no circumstances” allow the United States, which he described as an extra-regional power, to intervene in the strategic waterway.

He characterized the issue as Iran’s “non-negotiable red line” and warned that any military response by Tehran would not be proportional but would instead deliver “more severe, broader, and more destructive” blows against the attacker.
