DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a new wave of Operation Nasr 2, claiming drone and missile strikes on US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, including radar systems, aircraft infrastructure, and drone hangars. Regional reports also described explosions in Bahrain, although the claims have not been independently verified.
In Statement No. 32, the IRGC said its forces destroyed an early warning radar system, an aircraft equipment hangar, and MQ-9 drone shelters at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait during the 22nd wave of Operation Nasr 2, conducted under the codename “Ya Ruqayyah (SA).”
The statement said the strikes were carried out in response to what Tehran described as repeated US attacks on Iranian territory, adding that operations would continue as long as foreign military forces remain in the region.
Meanwhile, regional media reported powerful explosions near a US naval support facility in Bahrain, while Bahrain’s Interior Ministry urged residents to seek shelter following security alerts. Separate reports also cited satellite imagery showing damage to a building at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.
The reported developments have not been independently confirmed, and US authorities had not immediately commented on the Iranian claims at the time of publication.
Military analysts say the reported strikes reflect Iran’s continued emphasis on drone and missile capabilities as part of its deterrence strategy amid escalating regional tensions.
