Pezeshkian: Afghanistan’s Cooperation Helped Prevent Armed Infiltration into Iran
DID Press: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Afghanistan cooperated with Tehran during the recent war to prevent armed elements from entering Iran and to prevent Afghan territory from being used to create insecurity inside Iran.

Pezeshkian said Afghan authorities instructed security forces to closely monitor the border and prevent Iranian territory from being destabilized through cross-border activities.
He also said Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Iraq had cooperated with Tehran, while talks with Azerbaijan had produced positive results. According to Pezeshkian, the regional cooperation helped counter what he described as U.S. efforts to foment unrest in Iran.
