Taliban Have Issued More Than 100 Decrees Restricting Women
DID Press: UN Women has said that the Taliban have issued more than 100 restrictive decrees targeting women and girls over the past five years, measures that have institutionalized gender discrimination in Afghanistan’s laws and social structures and severely limited women’s access to fundamental rights.

According to a new report by the organization, restrictions in areas including education, employment, social participation, justice and health services have increased over the past year, turning Afghanistan into one of the world’s most severe crises for women’s rights.
Experts say the situation not only threatens the future of Afghan women and girls but also poses serious challenges to the country’s development and social stability.
