Pakistan Supreme Court Orders Imran Khan’s Transfer to Hospital

DID Press: Pakistan’s Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the transfer of former Prime Minister Imran Khan from prison to a hospital for medical treatment.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said Khan must be transferred to Shifa International Hospital within 48 hours and remain under medical care until September 16.

Khan’s family and lawyers had previously expressed concern over his deteriorating health, including a significant loss of vision in his right eye.

Khan has been imprisoned since August 2023 and is facing several legal cases and convictions. He has described the charges against him as politically motivated.
