Iran Orders Two French Diplomats to Leave Country
DID Press: Iran has ordered two French diplomats to leave the country and said they will not be allowed to return, citing what Tehran described as activities by the French Embassy that went “beyond its duties.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said on Sunday that Tehran decided to expel the two diplomats after concluding that the French Embassy had exceeded the scope of its diplomatic responsibilities.
Baghaei said the diplomats must leave Iran and would not be permitted to return.
He added that relations between Iran and France should be based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs, saying Tehran would issue warnings whenever necessary.
Baghaei described France’s conduct as unjustifiable and warned that such actions could be “harmful” to the continuation of bilateral relations.
