Taliban Simplify 928 Administrative Procedures Across 13 Departments

DID Press: Officials at the Taliban’s Administrative Affairs Office say 928 administrative procedures across 13 government departments have been simplified over the past five years, with the aim of reducing bureaucracy, saving time and costs, and facilitating the delivery of public services.

Mawlawi Noor-ul-Haq Anwar, head of the Taliban’s Administrative Affairs Office, said at a press conference that simplifying administrative procedures is essential to reforming the administrative system, reducing bureaucracy and providing faster, more transparent and accessible services to the public.

Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the Administrative Process Simplification Directorate had simplified 928 procedures across 13 government institutions over the past five years.

The largest number of simplified procedures were reported at the Ministry of Higher Education, with 214, followed by the Ministry of Agriculture with 203, the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority with 140, and the Ministry of Education with 136.

According to Mujahid, the procedures were simplified to reduce administrative steps and costs, prevent overcrowding at government offices, increase transparency and reduce opportunities for administrative corruption.
