DID Press: According to sources, al-Qaeda has begun training its members to operate suicide drones at three facilities in Afghanistan’s Ghazni and Kunduz provinces, with around 32 people, mostly foreign nationals, reportedly taking part in the training.The sources said the training is being conducted at two facilities in Kunduz’s Imam Sahib and Dasht-e Archi districts, with the involvement of members of the East Turkestan movement, and at a third facility in Ghazni province.
Sources on Monday, September 28, said the number of people undergoing training at the facilities was estimated at around 32, most of them foreign nationals.According to the information, Abu al-Hasan al-Maghribi, a Syrian national, oversees al-Qaeda’s field and financial activities, while Haji Tariq, an Afghan national close to him, also plays a role.
The sources further alleged that members of the network use different aliases during internal meetings, particularly sessions involving trainees.The reported presence and activities of international militant groups in Afghanistan under Taliban rule remain a security concern for neighboring and regional countries.
