Arab League to Hold Emergency Meeting on Protection of Palestinians
DID Press: The League of Arab States will hold an emergency meeting of its permanent representatives on Tuesday, October 13, to discuss measures for providing international protection for Palestinians and safeguarding Jerusalem’s legal status under international law.

The meeting was requested by the State of Palestine amid reports of escalating attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians and their property, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Muhannad Al-Aklouk, Palestine’s permanent representative to the Arab League, said the meeting would also address settlement expansion, the displacement of Palestinian communities and moves by some countries to transfer their embassies to Jerusalem.
