Afghanistan Envoy in Russia Accuses Pakistan of Threatening Regional Security
DID Press: Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Russia, has accused Pakistan of threatening regional security and stability, arguing that the current security challenges facing the region originate from Pakistan.

Speaking at a security conference on Central Asia and Afghanistan, Hassan outlined the Afghanistan’s position on regional security concerns and its ongoing tensions with Islamabad.
Hassan claimed that security had been established inside Afghanistan over the past five years and that Taliban security forces had dismantled Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) centres and eliminated the group’s leadership presence in the country.
He also accused Pakistan of providing shelter to armed opponents of the Taliban administration and creating conditions for Islamic State activities.
The remarks come amid continuing tensions between Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities and Pakistan over cross-border militancy and regional security. Islamabad has repeatedly accused armed groups of operating from Afghan territory, while the Taliban administration has rejected Pakistan’s allegations.
