US Lawmakers Condemn Israeli Settler Attack on Washington Post Photographer
DID Press: Several members of the US Congress have condemned an attack by masked Israeli settlers on Heidi Levine, a veteran photographer for The Washington Post, in the occupied West Bank, and called for an investigation into the incident.

Levine was reportedly beaten and injured while covering events in the West Bank. She sustained multiple injuries, including fractures to several vertebrae in her spine and a broken rib, and received medical treatment.
Jamie Raskin, a Democratic member of the US House of Representatives from Maryland, condemned the reported attack in a post on X. He called for accountability over what he described as escalating vigilante violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians and foreign observers.
Raskin also expressed concern about continued settler violence and what he characterized as government protection for those responsible.
Other US lawmakers have called for an investigation into the incident and accountability for those involved. The attack has also drawn condemnation from media organisations and press freedom advocates.
