Guterres: Middle East Needs a New Security Framework
DID Press: UN Secretary-General António Guterres has stressed the need for a new security framework in the Middle East, saying no country in the region can achieve lasting security at the expense of another country’s insecurity.

Guterres emphasized that the future of the Middle East should be shaped by the peoples and countries of the region, rather than by repeated wars, many of which are intensified by the involvement of external actors.
He called for the establishment of a new regional security framework capable of ensuring lasting security and preventing the continuation of conflicts.
