Iran Army: Any Renewed Attack Could Trigger a War Beyond West Asia

DID Press: Amir Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for Iran’s Army, has warned that any renewed US attack would be met with an immediate response on a scale broader than before.

He cautioned that if a new war breaks out, the conflict would not be confined to West Asia and could last significantly longer than the previous confrontation.

Akraminia also pointed to a shift in Iran’s military doctrine, saying the country had already begun moving away from an exclusively defensive posture towards a more offensive approach, which he said was demonstrated in practice during the recent war.

On Sunday, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s Leader of the Islamic Revolution, also stressed during a meeting with senior commanders of the country’s armed forces that any threat must be met with an immediate and effective response, without geographical restrictions.

He further warned that if military or terrorist attacks resume, Iran’s armed forces and people would determine the timing and conditions under which the conflict ends.
