DID Press: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has said that negotiations between Tehran and Washington are continuing through mediators, with messages being exchanged between the two sides.

Baghaei stressed that the composition of Iran’s negotiating team had not changed, with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi continuing to serve as Tehran’s senior negotiators.
He added that Iran had already clearly communicated its demands to the US side and that Tehran’s proposed plan remained the basis for the negotiations.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also said that no final agreement could be reached, nor security restored in the Strait of Hormuz, unless the US naval blockade was lifted and Iran’s demands were met.
