13-Member Afghan Business Delegation Visits Iran to Expand Trade Ties

DID Press: A 13-member delegation of Afghan traders and industrialists has travelled to Iran to expand economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

The visit was made at the invitation of the Iran-Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and in coordination with the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce.

Members of the delegation are scheduled to meet Iranian officials and economic authorities and take part in bilateral trade meetings. Visits to Iranian industrial centres and facilities are also included in the programme.

The visit aims to assess industrial and trade capacities, identify investment opportunities, exchange experience and create opportunities for joint cooperation between traders and industrialists from both countries.

The delegation is also expected to explore ways to strengthen relations between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Iran.
