Vance Seeks Alliance with Republicans Disillusioned with Trump

DID Press: US Vice President JD Vance is seeking to form a new alliance with Republicans dissatisfied with President Donald Trump following the party’s defeat in the elections, Fox News has reported.

According to Fox News, a US administration official said Vance had outlined four main priorities in a message aimed at mobilising supporters of the movement known as the “New Right.”

The priorities include ending the war with Iran, focusing on lowering the cost of living and curbing inflation, putting US interests first under the “America First” policy, and reassessing Washington’s relationship with the Israeli regime.

The US official described the “New Right” as a coalition of Republicans aligned with Trump’s original political approach, who favour reducing US involvement in foreign conflicts and paying greater attention to domestic economic challenges.

According to the report, the priorities outlined by Vance emphasise a shift away from interventionist foreign policies, easing economic pressure on American households, and redefining Washington’s foreign policy priorities.
