Macklemore Says Nine US Venues Refused to Host His “Hind’s Hall” Tour

DID Press: American rapper Macklemore, a vocal supporter of Palestine, says at least nine concert venues across the United States, including New York’s Madison Square Garden, have refused to host his “Free Palestine” tour.

He described the restrictions as unprecedented, arguing that they undermine freedom of expression and reflect the influence of wealthy individuals over which voices are allowed to be heard in American society.

Macklemore said some billionaires are effectively deciding which voices can reach the public.

The issue has once again raised questions about Washington’s claims of defending freedom of speech.
