Afghanistan Welcomes More Than 30,000 Foreign Tourists Since Taliban Takeover
DID Press: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Information and Culture, run by the Taliban, says more than 30,000 foreign tourists have visited the country since the group returned to power.

The ministry said foreign visitors had travelled to various parts of Afghanistan to explore its historical, cultural and natural attractions.
Afghanistan has considerable tourism potential, with its historical sites, ancient monuments, scenic landscapes and striking mountain ranges.
However, developing the country’s tourism industry requires improvements to infrastructure, better visitor services, easier travel arrangements and stronger international promotion of Afghanistan’s attractions.
If effectively managed, tourism could create employment opportunities, increase income and boost economic activity in different parts of the country.
