DID Press: Mick Wallace, a former member of the European Parliament, has said that countries seeking regime change in Iran are now facing the threat of political and governmental upheaval themselves, referring to recent political and electoral developments in the United States and Israel.

In a post on X, Wallace described the US-Israeli military attack on Iran as illegal, arguing that it was carried out with the aim of changing Iran’s political system and had received support from political and media circles in Europe.
He also said Iran was now stronger than before and that supporters of regime change in the country were facing the political consequences of their approach.
The Irish politician called on European countries to reconsider their positions, warning that Europe was on the “wrong side of history”.
Wallace’s remarks reflect criticism voiced in some European political circles over US and Israeli policies towards Iran. Linking electoral developments in the United States and Israel to the consequences of the war also highlights how the conflict with Iran has extended beyond the military arena, with its political costs increasingly drawing attention from critics.
