Representatives at the general meeting of the parliament on Wednesday accused Kunduz representatives of receiving money; while some others accused Abdul Rauf Ebrahimi, the head of the parliament of dealing in this case.
“Representatives of Kunduz people dealt with officials of Ministry of Defense and National Security and this is a real oppression against the rights of Kunduz people,” said Allah Gul Mujahid, an MP.
“We and you determined to send a delegation from three commission, I think a deal took place. The government decides in its interest. I believe they dealt with the minister of defense and the head of the national directorate of security,” he said.
Meanwhile, some MPs rejected Mr Mujahid’s allegations and accused Abdul Rauf Ebrahimi of dealing.
“Mr Mujahid accuses the representatives but not! I personally complained to the interior and defense commission; but when Mr Ebrahimi deals, this is not related to representatives,” said engineer Kamal Safi, the representative of Kunduz province.
On the other hand, Hamyun Hamayun, the first deputy to the assembly who was leading the meeting said “they (representatives) criticize dealing, but again defend the ministers when they are called to answer the parliament.”
According to the defense ministry, Afghanistan air forces targeted an assembly of Taliban in Kunduz’s Dasht-e Archi district last week; following the incident, reports, and footages released, saying civilians and children were also killed during the operation.
President Ghani in reaction to the civilian casualties report has tasked a commission led by senior National Security Council auditor Gen. Khudaidad Hazara to investigate the incident.
Although the commission returned to Kabul and shared their findings with the presidential palace; ARG’s spokespersons and national security council avoid giving details regarding the issue.
