Afghan Elections; 7th Candidate Registered with IEC

Dr. Faramarz Tamanna, the Director General of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, went to the election commission on Thursday and registered himself as the seventh candidate to run for 2019 presidential elections.


Dr. Faramarz Tamanna, the Director General of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, went to the election commission on Thursday and registered himself as the seventh candidate to run for 2019 presidential elections.

Faramarz Tamanna along with Sayed Qeyas Saeedi and Mohammad Amin Reshadat as his first and second deputy respectively entered the race for the upcoming presidential elections.

Earlier, Latif Pedram, Hakim Torsan, Sayed Norollah Jalili, Enayatullah Hafiz, Zalmay Rasool, and Noorul Haq Ulumi have registered themselves with the election commission (IEC).

Although less than three days remain until the deadline for the registration process of presidential candidates, the main claimants of the presidential race have not been registered yet.
