Ata Mohammad Noor leading North War against Taliban

Following a joint meeting with Marshal Dostum, representatives of various parties, military and civilian officials of northern Balkh province, and the 209th Shaheen Corps, leader of Jamiat-e Islami party Ata Mohammad Noor took over the command of Resistance Forces against the Taliban.

Marshal Dostum will also monitor all fronts of the war and gives the necessary suggestions.

Ebadullah Ebad, deputy director-general of the NDS, Mohammad Farhad Azimi, governor of Balkh, General Zabihullah Mohmand, commander of the 209th Shaheen corps, Balkh police chief, head of Balkh national security directorate, and representatives of political parties in the province attended the joint meeting where they agreed that coordination and cohesion of the National Mobilization should be carried out in support of the security and defense forces to fight the Taliban in Maimana, Mazar-e Sharif, and other northern parts of the country.

The participants said that they will fight to the last drop of their blood against the enemies of Afghanistan and will defend the nation against mercenaries and foreigners.
During the meeting, the leadership of the resistance and public uprising forces was handed over to the leader of the Jamiat-e Islami party Ata Mohammad Noor, and Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum will only supervise the war and give the necessary advice and suggestions.

They decided to set up several headquarters in different parts of Balkh province to provide the necessary support for anti-Taliban operations. 209th Shaheen Corps, the national security directorate, and Balkh police command are responsible for equipping and supplying the resistance and public uprising forces.

Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum and Ustad Ata Mohammad Noor assure the people that they will fight the Taliban to the last drop of their blood and will not allow them to advance.
