“biometric devices, including the voter list, were sent to the provinces of Farah, Badghis, Herat, Zabul, Kandahar, Nimroz and Helmand and simultaneously has been transferred to the districts of these provinces,” IEC spokesman Sayed Hafizullah Hashimi said. “by Friday, this process will end and the devices will be sent to all provinces in the country,” he added.

According to him, by next Monday, the observers have to obtain the cards from the IEC for monitoring the process.
“as many as 53 institutions, including the political parties, have received the observatory cards from the IEC so far,” the spokesman continued.

“the political parties received 2100 observatory cards, the candidates obtained 37007 cards, the media outlets 330, the members of the civil society and the electoral observatory institutions 21100 and the International observers 9 cards from the IEC.”
