Do not Doubt US/ Moscow Summit is Futile Dialogue: Ghani

President M. Ashraf Ghani – during a special interview – described Moscow meeting between the Taliban and Afghan politicians as some futile dialogues, stressing that do not doubt about US honesty in the peace process.

In a particular interview with Tolo News on Tuesday night, president M. Ashraf Ghani defended government’s stance about the peace talks and said that Moscow summit between the Taliban and the politicians is some futile efforts.
“Do not doubt about the United States because America is a fundamental partner of the Afghan government and gave sacrifice,” Mr Ghani underlined.
President Ghani said that the meeting of different countries with the Taliban group does not affect the situation in Kabul, but stressed that such talks with this group will continue the crisis.
“If Talks are not with the government, we will move towards crisis,” he said.

President Ghani added that Taliban group meets with different groups and political factions to undermine Kabul position.
“Afghan politicians attending the Moscow meeting have no executive authority and are not officially representing Afghanistan,” he underlined, adding that “The US has been committed to the security pact and President Donald Trump will soon respond my letter”.

In all, in regard to the politicians attended Moscow talks, president Ghani said: “let them be judged when the outcome of the meeting announced”.
