New Plan Not Mean Kankor Rationing: MoHE

According to the plan, this year, 75 percent of the Kankor package will be publicly put into competition while the other 25 percent to be put into competition at the level of zones.
The officials of the two ministries say this plan is never mean Kankor rationing and will provide a transparent ground for qualified people to Kankor process.
“The aim of this program is to educate local cadres and develop the capacities and abilities of young people who have not been able to enter Kankor process in different parts of the country,” said Faisal Amin, a spokesman for the MoHE at a press conference in Kabul.
Meanwhile, Noriya Nuzhat, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Education said at the press conference that “the purpose of the rationing plan is not based on ethnicity but on the basis of a balanced education for all young people in Afghanistan.”
This year’s General university entrance exam will be held as before, but for 25 percent of the Kankor package in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Law, Economics, Agriculture and Computer Science, the competition will only be held at the level of zones.
According to the program, according to the required fields, the whole country, including the capital, is divided into eight zones and the ration of the required fields will be considered according to the highest score.
